More home redecorating

This week we have been very busy working on the house, trying to get ready for Christmas. Our game commitments have been decreasing as our online friends are getting busy with plans for Christmas, and everyone is treading water waiting for the new expansion coming out on January 16th. We've been spending our extra time doing some clean up and redecorating. We have been spending the last few days repainting our living room. It will be a peaceful green, to match our dark green furniture. Painting such a large room is very tiring, and both of us are sore from the exertions. Tomorrow we will put the final coat of green, and then start working on the dining room, which will be a nice shade of blue.
We also picked up some new lamps for our living room, as pictured to the left. The helix theme reminds me of DNA, and the graceful curves are relaxing to me. The whole theme of the living room is to create a peaceful santuary. The wood floors were the beginning of that, and the green walls and furniture add to the effect. Next I need to buy a sofa table to go behind the sofa, and I'm still searching for a complimentary dining room set.
