Donna's trip to LA

This weekend, my high school friend Donna came to visit us in LA. She flew in Saturday morning, and we went to the the Santee's Alley in Downtown to go shopping. After picking us some designer knockoff purses, we drove to Glendale to eat at my favorite Cuban bakery, Portos. (Elena introduced us to this culinary delight) We had meat pastries and mashed potato balls, which Donna really liked. We drove back to go to the California Science museum and watched an IMAX movie about hurricane Katrina and the marshlands. For dinner, we had Korean food at Wharo's and went home to talk and catch up on our lives.
Sunday we ate at Flo's, our favorite breakfast place in Chino, and went to the Huntington Garden's, and had high tea at the Rose Garden. We also wandered around the different gardens. This leaf picture was taken in their rainforest exhibit. After that, we came home and watched Serenity, the movie, based on one of me and Mark's favorite TV shows, Firefly.

Monday, we ate breakfast at Roscoe's chicken and waffles, and took the Warner's Brother's studio tour. We took pictures on the set of Friends. We also saw a Harry Potter museum, displaying all the costumes and props from the movies. When the tour was over, we went to the California Science Museum and actually walked around the exhibits.

It was a busy weekend, and much laughter was to be had. Donna and I love to take pictures, and thinking of crazy picture poses at these museums are probably the best part.
