I think we've become so business minded that our primary objective is to distribute information quickly, to the widest audience possible. So we blog (and e-mail) because it seems a more efficient way to communicate. And blogs make our messages seem more important because they have a feel of permanence.
The downside is: electronic tools can't provide the human interaction you get in face-to-face conversations. When we communicate electronically, we miss out on body language, tone, expression, laughter. In an effort to be more efficient, our messages are less complete.
That's my favorite thing about Tuesday nights. We can talk a whole lot about nothing in particular, and I always go home feeling energized and comforted from having spent quality time with you all. :)
